P.L.A.N.
Our PLAN program
focus on providing critical home repair, social services, and safety modifications for disabled, seniors, and veteran homeowners that are 55 yrs-older that live in Illinois and are low-income. Income restrictions apply.
P- PURPOSE: This component of the P.L.A.N program focuses on helping low- moderate income senior and veteran homeowners find purpose and meaning in their lives as they age, through services such as, homeownership and foreclosure prevention, educational resources, financial literacy training, and enrichment programs that promote socialization and personal development.
Our PURPOSE component empowers participants to stay engaged and active in their communities, they can maintain a sense of purpose and contribute to their legacy.
L- LIVING: This component of the PLAN program focuses on providing our participants with resources, referrals, and support they need to age safely, and independently in the comfort of their homes, with access to critical home repairs related to health and safety, accessibility, energy efficiency upgrades, smart home safety devices, and access to affordable housing .
By enabling our seniors, disabled, and veteran participants to age in place or find affordable housing options and have access to healthy food, they can build equity in their homes and pass on that wealth to future generations.
A- ADVOCACY: This component of the PLAN program focuses on providing our participants to advocacy services by providing resources and information to help seniors, disabled, and veterans program participants and their families navigate state, local, and federal government services. This allows our participants to make informed decisions about their future and ensure that their legacy is protected.
N- NETWORK: The fourth component of the PLAN program focuses on building and maintaining a strong network of support for low-moderate income senior, disabled and veteran homeowners, through partnerships with other community organizations, volunteers, or peer support groups. By creating a community of support and connection, seniors and veterans can access resources and information to help them build intergenerational wealth and pass on their legacy to future generations.
